For what it’s worth, I appreciated your guide.

I’m just learning the basics of trading in EVE, but have a mightily dodgy GFX card which tends (though it’s a bit random) to crash my machine more often if I’m out of the station flying around. So a guide on how to trade in-station has been very helpful for me at the moment; it means I can still help my corp out by raising a little bit of cash even if I’m not so reliable in mission running or mining.

Thanks for writing this guide up and offering to us.

Holy crap, this is the most extensive misuse of the plural (appleS) and possessive (apple’S) I have ever seen on the internet. Is English your second language? If it is then you are excused, otherwise… WHOAH.

Dude, for the love of all that is holy, learn how to use grammar and apostrophes. Just because a word ends in an “s” it does not mean you need to put an apostrophe before it.

If you can’t replace ‘s with the word “is”, then you don’t need to use ‘s. Example:

Skills = meaning multiple skills
Skill’s = meaning “skill is” which in this context is meaningless

themselves = meaning a reflexive form of “they”
themselve’s = “themselve is” which is less than meaningless.

This is a great guide, you went into a satisfactory amount of detail.
I think you need to touch more on the price history, the fact that you should check that before selecting the item before it becomes the subject of your trade.

And i love how at the beginning you went into how you’re always expected to know everything, when most of the time it’s the information their leaving out tht you’re after.

!no, you don’t want your item to be cheaper then everyone elses (that’s how kiddies in wow sell)

hint 1: analyze price history.
hint 2: also look at volumes traded daily and volumes currently in market. taking to extremes – if you find yourself selling 100’000’000 items, you don’t care what price are for that guy who sells 3 and 17 of them, let them sell their 3 items and get bigger profit. Z)

“You are trying to buy from people too lazy to set up a buy order themselve’s. Some people will see a -1.4 negetive value on the market and think “eh, to small for me to care about”. ”

In fact you are trying to buy from people who dont want to set a SELL order themselves, usually miners or industrials who have a lot higher liquidity preferences then traders.

If someone were to sell you a Tempest he would see a numer a lot bigger then -1.4 (with those orders values) on his/her market selling window (box thing).

No wonder this topic drives me crazy. If you’re gonna bother writing a guide and setting yourself up as some kind of expert, make sure your numbers are correct. Typing higher sell orders when you mean lower sell orders makes me so mad. God knows how you guys actually make any isk from trading with such confused thinking
